Time Remains for Macomb Residents to Pay Winter Taxes in 2012
Through Jan. 1, Macomb Township residents can deposit their winter tax payments in the secure drop box at Town Hall and have those payments posted for 2012.
There's still time to have the payment of your winter taxes posted in 2012. Through Jan. 1, 2013, the Macomb Township Treasurer's Office will accept any winter taxes deposited in the secure drop box at the rear entrance of the Town Hall as having been submitted in 2012. Payments can be deposited to the drop box 24 hours a day. However, Treasurer Karen Goodhue reminds residents using the drop box to make their payment via check rather than cash to ensure proof of payment. Winter taxes are payable from Dec. 1, 2012 through Feb. 14, 2013 without penalty in Macomb Township. After Feb. 14, a 3 percent late fee is assessed through Feb. 28, 2013.
