I'm a freelance journalist with 12 years experience who has worked as a reporter for various publications, including several of The Heritage Newspapers, The Monroe Evening News family of papers, The Oakland Press, and I've blogged for "Off the Bus" at The Huffington Post during the 2012 election season. I also freelance as a copywriter, proofreader, and photographer.

I'm a Macomb Twp. resident who's happily married with two grown children and two tiny Griffinshire dogs, who are spoiled and cute. In my spare time I research and fact check for journalistic accuracy all the subjects and articles that I think are rediculous. It's probably a waste of time, but I feel better knowing I'm not a schmuck. I also research subject matter that I find useful and sometimes not so useful, but at least always a bit interesting. I enjoy politics and science fiction, and wonder if the two aren't connected somehow. I'm the former owner and promoter of Offworld Enterprizes' "The Ann Arbor Comicon," the midwest's second largest comic and sci-fi convention in the 90s. (Those were the days!) I am a self professed nerd. I'm a former PR Director for The Coalition for Democracy in Latin America. (That sounds important, doesn't it?) I enjoy gardening, traveling, and cooking healthy meals. I'm also an English tutor through Macomb Literacy. I have a few Facebook pages I maintain, including a writer's group called "Writing on the Wall." I've recently made it public that I will give Donald Trump my school records and passport application if he'll shave his head. I have not yet received a response. I believe having a good sense of humor gets me out of trouble a lot. That is all.
