ReplyThat's part of what we'll learn on Tuesday, Sue. One of the ideas mentioned by village manager Dave Cook and director of economic development Tim Scott is to put in place a fee system that would allow establishments that want the extra hours to pay for them. Said Scott on that idea, "Those who think that their business model is predicated on the additional time could have that additional time at a premium associated with their license."

ReplyTrustee Jerry Hughes said during the May 6 meeting (wasn't a trustee yet at that time) that there is going to be a lot of community opinion on this issue. So let's get it started here. What do you think about a sports bar in downtown Hinsdale? Needed addition or loud nuisance?

Thanks for the comment. There actually is a parking lot planned behind the development. It can't be seen in these renderings supplied by the developer, but if you visit the Plan Commission documents at the below link and scroll WAY down (about 3/4 the way), you should see the site plan including parking. It appears there would be about 45 spots.

Hi Marty,
Currently there is a smaller permit parking lot on this property along with a vacant building. It's not the larger Washington Street parking lot area.
